    On Wednesday, President Donald Trump instructed U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer to consider increasing the level of an additional duty on imports of $200 billion from China, including rice, from 10 percent to 25 percent. Action by Ambassador Lighthizer to raise duties on the $200 billion in imports began on July 10 under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974. Full story

    More than 2,000 Arkansans attended the fifth annual Stone’s Throw Brewing Block on Rock festival here last Saturday where they had the opportunity to drink their rice. The official beer of Block on Rock is called “Golden Grain,” and made with Arkansas-grown rice. The rice beer got a big thumbs up from the partying crowd as attendees consumed 480 pints of the locally-sourced ale. Full story
