ARLINGTON, VA – USA Rice is the one place where farmers, millers, merchants, end users, and other allied partners have a strong, united voice to support the growth and profitability of the entire U.S. rice industry. USA Rice’s newest members are a diverse group that will enhance the organization’s industry-wide representation.
The USA Rice Millers’ Association (RMA) recently welcomed two new associate members from the state of Washington: Columbia/Okura and Ray-Mont Logistics America.
Columbia/Okura of Vancouver, designs, integrates, and commissions end-of-line robotic palletizing solutions for major industries, with over 900 robotic palletizers installed throughout North America and internationally.
Ray-Mont Logistics in Spokane Valley facilitates international trade by enhancing the container supply chain, from ocean freight forwarding to terminal operations. Both Columbia/Okura and Ray-Mont have joined the RMA at the Allied Server Associate level.
As USA Rice’s new Enterprise Partner,
Nestle USA hardly needs an introduction. With more than 150 locations in 31 states, Nestle USA’s mission of “good food, good life” is to provide consumers with tasty, nutritious choices in a wide range of food and beverage categories.
And finally, K&T Agri LLC, based out of Jonesboro, Arkansas, joins the USA Rice Merchants’ Association as an associate member, providing consultation for farmers and brokering rice. The firm’s two principles, Brian King and Justin Towery, are both former chairs of the USA Rice Merchants’ Association.
“In order to get rice from the field to the table, it takes a village, so to speak,” said USA Rice Chair Bobby Hanks. “We look forward to seeing all the contributions and expertise our new partners will bring to the table.”
