Kimchi Breakfast Rice

Diners will love this protein-packed breakfast fried rice. This flavorful dish is topped with kimchi and features U.S.-grown long grain rice.

Ingredients

Fried Rice

  • 7½ cups bacon, chopped
  • 5 cups Breakfast Sausage
  • 7½ cups red onion, ¼ diced
  • 3¾ tbsps garlic, minced
  • 22½ cups cooked long grain rice
  • 15 tbsps cajun seasoning blend, chopped
  • 5 cups kimchi, chopped
  • 15 ounces eggs, scrambled
  • 2½ tbsps Salt
  • 2½ tbsps Pepper
  • ⅓ cup oil, divided
  • 5 cups green onions, chopped  

Cajun Seasoning Blend

  • 5 tbsps smoked paprika
  • 10 tsps oregano
  • 5 tsps cayenne

Directions

Fried Rice

  • Render bacon and sausage fat over medium-high heat. 
  • Add vegetables and cook 3-4 minutes. 
  • Add and heat half of the oil, then add rice to the pan. Cook 5-7 minutes, or until the rice takes on the color of the spices. Add the cajun seasoning and stir. 
  • Add the remaining oil to a separate, non-stick pan and scramble the eggs until the whites are fully set. 
  • Thoroughly mix the eggs with the rice. Season with salt and pepper, then garnish with green onion.

  • Blend ingredients thoroughly together.
